Lifeguard Instructor Course

Prerequisites Candidates must:
1. Be at least 17 years old on or before the final scheduled session of the course.
2. Possess a current basic-level certification in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED.
3. Successfully complete the online Introduction to the Lifeguarding Instructor Course prior to the precourse skills session via the class roster and online content completion status report.
4. Obtain all instructor and participant materials before entering the first session of the instructor course.

This course will cover all updates to the American Red Cross Certification published in February 2024

Training Hours:
Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Registrants must attend all training days to obtain their certificate
AN ACTIVE LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION & MODULES MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED
BEFORE ATTENDING THE FIRST DAY OF THE LGI COURSE

Lifeguard Certification

Red Cross lifeguarding students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class and pass a swimming skills test.

This includes a 300-yard swim using front crawl or breaststroke, a 2-minute tread using legs only, and the ability to retrieve a 10-lb dive weight from 10 ft deep, surface and swim 20 yds with the weight, using legs only and exit the pool without using a ladder within 100 seconds.

Training Hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Registrants must attend all training days to obtain their lifeguard certificate

All online modules must be completed before attending the first day of training

Junior Lifeguard Camp

Junior Lifeguard Camp is an opportunity for youth to learn aquatic safety and earn their First Aid & CPR certifications.
This camp encourages communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills.
All campers must have swimming experience and be able to swim 25 YDs continuously.

Ages 11 – 14
